There are many daily tasks that may seem pretty inexpensive, but when all things are considered are rather costly. One of the daily tasks on which you could cut costs and save a few dollars on is drying your clothes. Here are a few ideas for saving money:

    1. Run an extended spin cycle while the clothes are in your washing machine
    2. Use a clothesline
    3. Use a drying rack
    4. Add a dry towel and/or dryer balls to each cycle to reduce the amount of time drying a load takes
    5. Do not overfill or over dry your dryer
    6. Put clothes of a similar weight together
    7. Cut dryer sheets into quarters and then use them twice
    8. Clean the lint screen out following each load
    9. Keep the outside exhaust clean
    10. Use an automatic cycle rather than a timed one
    11. Use the heat of the last load by drying all of your loads one after the other
    12. Do not replace your iron with dryer, pull out your iron instead

Even though spending may seem like a tremendous challenge, there are many small steps that you can take to save money. One of the many things you can do to save money is to set aside one day week where you will not spend any money.

This in itself may be a challenge for you. Try it out and see if you can do it. By not spending one day a week, you could save between $5 and $75, or even more.

This may require you to take a lunch instead of buying one, but the money you save could be worth it. Be sure to take this money and put it into savings so that you will have it for a raining day. Once you have mastered not spending for one day a week, try not to spend for an entire week during the month.

    1. Look for a free computer online
    2. Purchase a used computer as these are often offered at discounts
    3. Purchase a refurbished computer for the same reason
    4. Look for online coupons and deals
    5. Watch Ebay and other auction sites
    6. Make your own computer
    7. Go smaller rather than larger
