How to Live Within Your Means
Feb 26I think the last post really sums it up best…pretty funny video. It’s really not a complicated subject at all. And yet Google receives about 600 searches a month on how to live within your means. Is it really all that tough?
Here’s theĀ four step process to simplify living within your means:
Step 1: Figure out how much money you are making.
Step 2: Figure out how much money you need to spend to survive.
Step 3: If the number in step 2 is bigger than the number in step 1, sign up for welfare. If the number in step 1 is bigger than the number in step 2, then you can live within your means.
Step 4: If you can live within your means, then don’t buy things you don’t have the money for.
It’s really that easy! For example, if you want that new grill really, really bad, don’t buy it if you can’t afford it! Don’t put it on a credit card, don’t get a loan, just don’t! Save some of your money each month until you have enough to buy that grill. Same goes for anything else.
Living within your means is as simple as being disciplined. Credit lures you to spend money you don’t have. You have to stand strong against the temptation.
So that’s it! Start following the 4 step live within your means process and enjoy your life!
