How to Spend Less
Filed under Finances, Money Saving TipsMay 21In a world where everyone is either trying to save more or earn more, there’s an easy way to keep more of your money- spend less. It may sound straightforward and all, but many struggle with their undisciplined spending habits. What can be done to spend less then?
Just wait. That’s it, that’s all. When you feel the impulse to buy something, just say to yourself “I will buy this next week, or next month.” By telling yourself that, you put it down, and 9 times out of 10 you don’t come back to buy it.
Sometimes we just need to step back and think about purchases before we make them impulsively. Stores and retail locations are designed to entice you to buy stuff, don’t forget that. Once outside of that environment, think about why you wanted to buy the item, then think if you really should go back and buy it.
By simply putting off purchases, we often times end up not making them. If you want to spend less, then tell yourself you will spend in the future. You’ll usually talk yourself out of it.
